About the General Practitioner role

We are seeking an enthusiastic General Practitioner to join the Medical Services team on a full time, part time or locum basis. This dynamic role will combine the sought-after offering of sessions within our GP Respiratory Clinic and multidisciplinary General Practice clinic.

You will have the opportunity to work within and/or alongside by one of more of our General Practice and Specialist Clinics aligning with your areas of interest, including:

  • General Practice
  • General Practice Respiratory Clinics
  • Lymphoedema clinic
  • Pharmacotherapy clinic
  • Refugee Health clinic
  • Specialist Paediatric Development and Behavioural clinic
  • Trans and Gender Diverse Health clinic (gender-affirming care)
  • Vitamin D clinic

Reporting to the Medical services manager, we have full-time/part-time, locum basis

Your Passion and Commitment will see you:

  • Provide high quality appropriate Primary care services including management if acute illness 
  • Work with the community to increase their capacity to make choices to enhance their health and well being
  • Refer patients to other providers within YourCH and external services
  • Advise & respond to medical/health problems of patients which includes history taking, diagnosis investigation & treatment

To succeed in this role you will have:

  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Fellowship with RACGP or Equivalent
  • Experience with Primary Care and or sexual health medical services
  • Sensitivity to the needs of marginalised people and their ability to access services
