About the Payroll Officer Role:
In this role you will manage the end-to-end payroll function, ensuring staff are paid accurately and on time while maintaining compliance and providing trusted advice on payroll and employment conditions.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this is a 12 month fixed-term part-time role (0.6 FTE).
This role requires on-site attendance on Mondays and Tuesdays during pay week, with flexibility around your remaining hours and days, including the option to work in a hybrid arrangement. The role is based in our Northern Suburbs offices.
Your Passion and Commitment will see you:
- Process fortnightly payroll accurately, on time and in compliance
- Maintain payroll data, records and employee changes
- Provide expert advice on pay, entitlements, awards and legislation
- Monitor payroll systems, processes and reporting for accuracy
- Lead payroll improvements, system changes and compliance initiatives
To succeed in this role you will have:
- Proven payroll experience, including award interpretation
- Strong industrial instrument interpretation and application
- High level of accuracy with strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship skills
- Ability to solve problems and manage competing priorities
