About the Senior Accountant role

As Senior Accountant, you will provide high-level accounting and financial expertise to support the effective financial management and decision-making of Your Community Health. Looking to take the next step in your accounting career? This is an opportunity to build your business partnering skills, develop strong relationships with senior leaders and contribute to strategic financial initiatives beyond traditional transactional accounting.

Reporting to the Finance and Payroll Manager, this is a 12-month fixed-term part-time role (0.6–0.8 FTE), offering flexible hybrid working arrangements, with Tuesdays based in Reservoir office and flexibility around your remaining days and hours.. All offices located in the Northern Suburbs. 

Your Passion and Commitment will see you:

  • Deliver accurate month-end and year-end financial reporting
  • Partner with leaders to provide clear financial insights
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and business planning
  • Provide financial analysis for business cases and funding
  • Support Board, Executive and audit reporting requirements
  • Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and systems

To succeed in this role you will have:

  • Current CPA qualification and five years' relevant experience
  • Strong financial and management accounting experience
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
  • Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting and Auditing Standards
  • Excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in a not-for-profit environment will be highly regarded
